| Sixth Six Weeks | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Week 31 objectives Week 31 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday- Now that we have chosen a product to create and advertise, it is time to write a script and determine our roles in the filming process. Don't worry- if you love attention, we'll find a way to put you on camera. If you are super-shy, we'll have you working on the other side of the camera. Once we have a solid plan, I want everyone to storyboard the commercial. Tuesday-Wednesday- Of course, we need to film our footage during class. This is when we will do it. Thursday-Friday- You will need graphics and titles in your commercial. Before we get into the edits in Premiere, we need to make the screen shot of the product with a photo, a logo, product information or other details you would normally find in a commercial. teks: 8e, 8f, 9a, 9b |

Week 32 objectives Week 32 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday- Today is the only seemingly normal day of this week. I need to make sure of two things today before I unleash you to work on your commercials. First, you need to understand how to add transitions and titles. Next, you need to be sure you have all of the film clips you need to create your commercial. We will work on that for all of the time we have together this week. This week, I wish you all good luck if you are testing. If you are in my classroom, you should be working on your commercial. Your rubric is below, as are some special instructions about this week. Tuesday- Sophomores take the math TAKS test

Week 33 objectives Week 33 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday-Wednesday- Obviously, last week was a strange week. Some of you only came to my classroom once or twice, while I saw others every day. What I need this week is for you to finish editing your commercials. I would like to grade them on Thursday. I know that several of you will be out of class on Wednesday for the Dance Explosion. Your rubric is available in the Week 32 requirements. Thursday-Friday- Over these two days, I want to grade your the commercials. After this, we will start reviewing some of the software we have learned to use this semester. On Friday, I want to ask you for your last journal entry for me. Instead of the usual journal entry, though, I want you to reflect on the whole year. Please go to this page and read the requirements for this week's journal. teks: 8e, 8f, 9a, 9b |

Week 34 objectives Week 34 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday- Today, we will open each of the software applications we used in this semester. In case you have forgotten, it was SoundBooth, Flash and Premiere. We need to remember what each interface looks like, what each software application does and how they all work. Tuesday- I want to try to get most of our senior finals done in class today. I know this week is chaotic for the class of 2012, but it will be helpful to do this all at once so we can move forward. Since it is a performance based test, I need to shuffle the seating chart a little, and it's easiest to try to do this all in one day. Wednesday- Today, I will distribute a crossword puzzle intended to ready my sophomores and juniors for their last six week test this year. While that occurs, I would like to take the time to test any seniors who may be missing the final exam grade. Additionally, if there is anyone who has not yet submitted their commercial for a grade, I would like to see it today, as well. Thursday- Today, we will complete a six week test. Unlike most of our six week tests, this one will cover the entire second semester. I have the test here on Quizstar, but I will not make it available to you until Thursday. As always, this is how you log in. Friday- I wanted to take this day to review some screen shots. There are several images of the computer screen included on your ACP, so it would be very helpful if we looked at some images and made some connections. teks: all semester 2 teks will be reviewed |

Week 35 objectives Week 35 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday- Today, we will take a look at some screen shots from different software applications we have used throughout the semester. After we finish, you will be able to access the information here, as well as in my server folder. Tuesday- Today, we will be using these review files to run through a series of tasks. The tasks are designed to remind you of all the things you have done during the semester. You'll need these files to complete the work, but they will also be available in my server folder. Wednesday- I know how this must thrill you all, but it makes a whole lot of sense for us to take a pretest. I just so happen to have one on Quizstar. Don't worry about the actual numeric grade- this is simply something that serves two purposes. It will show you what you still need to learn (you're welcome to print the corrected quiz at the end for a review packet), and it will show me where we need to focus our efforts in our review. You will simply receive a participation grade for completing the quiz in class. Don't worry about the actual score so much- just try to do your best. Thursday- Today, we have a little time to play a Jeopardy game. I will have this ready at the front of the classroom. Friday- Your favorite! Vocabulary bingo happens today. We'll end up playing twice, but today will be our first venture into the game. For those of you who wanted to access the review materials we used in class this week, I have placed them here. Here is Jeopardy Okay, only one of you asked, but still, a few of you may actually want to study... teks: all semester 2 teks will be reviewed |

Week 36 objectives Week 36 vocabulary objectives- students will learn to define and understand the following terms:
Monday- Welcome back. This is our last Monday! On Friday, we played our first round of vocabulary bingo. Today, we will learn 25 more words in our second round of bingo. With the ACP, understanding of the terminology will guarantee your success. If you know the language, you will be fine. Tuesday- We will take a little time today to talk about different file types. I also want to get you ready to take some of your best work with you when you leave here. Let's open the files you want to keep and make sure they're exported, published or saved in a way that would make them accessible outside of this lab. Wednesday- Today, I want you to retake your pretest and see if you have improved, though I am sure you all have. If you score poorly on this assessment, I want to encourage you to print a copy of the corrected assessment and take it home. It will be a good study guide for you. If you do well here, I am thinking you will do well on your actual test. You make the call about printing a copy for yourself. Thursday- This is our last class day together. I want to let you take your best work with you. I'll have some CDs available for you, and I will show you how to burn your best work to them. Testing schedule
After that, enjoy your summer. I hope you learned a lot. If you want to take my next class, but in the fall, you find you're not enrolled, please stop by. I'd love to continue with you all in Digital Arts and Animation next year! teks: all semester 2 teks will be reviewed, tested, over and done! |
